training objective
An objective used by a training procedure to score, select, or update candidate models, parameters, policies, or outputs during training; depending on the method it may be expressed through a loss, reward-derived return, preference-based score, or composite criterion. A training objective is an external criterion of the training process and should not be assumed to equal the learned system's behavioral or internal objective.
